Description
After such a beautiful, long summer, autumn is beginning to make itself felt. The light is changing, the evenings are drawing in and nature is starting to slow down. We might not be able to hibernate until spring — tempting though that sounds! — but we can take a cue from the season and slow down a little too.
And that is exactly what our first MELT session back is going to be about.
If you’re new to my classes and wondering what on earth MELT is, it’s a wonderfully gentle technique using rollers and balls to work with the fascia — the connective tissue that links our muscles, bones and organs.
Rather than stretching or working hard, we use gentle pressure and small movements to help this tissue soften and release. People often describe leaving a MELT class feeling like they could float out of the room — taller, lighter, with more freedom of movement and a back that feels wonderfully soft.

This session is all about nurturing your summer body into autumn. Over the summer I’ve learnt some new techniques, so we’ll be exploring the fascia of the face and neck, as well as some areas we haven’t worked with before. We’ll use the roller to ease out tired legs, soften the tissues around the ribs and spine, open up shoulders and give the whole body the chance to slow down and exhale.
There’ll be oils, candles and some proper relaxation too.
Bring a mat and, if you have them, your MELT roller, MELT balls and large soft purple ball. A warm layer or blanket is always a good idea too.
90 minutes to soften, unwind and let your body breathe out.
I’d love to see you there. 🍂
